CHAIN LUBE ETS-G3
Product Description
Applied Lubrication Technology’s Chain Lube ETS-G3 was specifically formulated for use as a Kiln Chain Lubricant where ‘point of application’ chain temperature exceeds 375°F and therefore causes the majority of lubricants to smoke excessively upon contact. Chain Lube ETS-G3 is a blend of carefully selected, high temperature stable synthetic esters, isoparaffinic hydro carbons, and a propriety lubricity additive package which is fortified with a dispersion of ultrafine graphite particles to provide boundary lubrication up to 482°C (900°F). Chain Lube ETS-G3 has been formulated to allow slightly more frequent re-application than the already modified ETS-G2 product. The benefits of being able to slightly increase the application frequency are that the Graphite film can be replenished more often within the wear points with less chance of causing an over lubrication situation, which can lead to dripping. Even with the slightly reduced longevity of this product (over the ETS-G2) the ETS-G3 allows for extended re-application intervals (over other ester or mineral oil based lubricants), therefore reducing the overall lubricant consumption, emissions from the Kiln Chain Lubrication system, and the manufacturing facility’s environmental impact. Chain Lube ETS-G3 has been formulated to provide superior wetting and penetrating capability, enabling it to soften carbon residue left from previously utilized lubricants and loosen barrels and links which have heavy deposits on them and no longer move freely.
Chain Lube ETS-G3 is ideally applied to the Kiln Chain by ALT’s reliable and precise automated lubrication systems.
